This week, in our continuing series, "Top 5 Homes for Sale in _____", we decided to take a look inside Leisure Village West.

Leisure Village West is a fenced, and gated, 825 acre adult community nestled among mature landscaping, just 6 miles from the Garden State Parkway.  There are 21 models to choose from, out of the 2,692 units built beginning in the mid 1980s.  

The newer section features duplex style homes with cathedral ceilings, open floor plans and gas heat. 

For recreation and relaxation, the residents enjoy two clubhouses which provide such activities as swimming, billiards, bocci, tennis, shuffleboard, ceramics and woodworking just to name a few.  There are also 2 "9-hole" golf courses.  

With 54 active clubs, there is something for everyone.

How Did We "select" the Top 5 Homes Listed for Sale in Leisure Village West?

It wasn't easy.  

Our initial search produced 40 homes currently listed for sale in Leisure Village West.  Once we removed those listings which did NOT include the "model" type and/or square footage, we were left with 18 listings to choose from.

We decided to "pick" the "best" of each model available for sale; which left us with 7 homes for sale.  One of the seven had a primary photo with snow on the ground, so it was eliminated (it is almost April after all), and one of them had pictures of the community but NOT of the actual listing, so it was also eliminated.
